Have you heard this saying, “Life is tough because you have got to live it everyday”? Yes we got to live life every single day because we cannot “take leave” from life. Sounds like the saying “Life is not a bed of roses”? In addition, we have to manage multiple roles and responsibilities across various aspects of life including family, intimate relationship, friends, professional relationships, career, finance, studies, health, personal growth, spirituality etc.
It’s true that at times life can be overwhelming, especially if certain areas seem to be taking a downward dive, e.g. broken relationships, unsuccessful career, financial problems, academic failures, sickness, lost of a loved one, traumas etc. When such situations happen, volumes of negative emotions that arise could lead to despondency and depression, among other negative consequences. At these times, some people would turn to counselors or psychologists. Some others will turn to a person commonly known as a Life Coach.
A Life Coach serves a role similar to that of a mentor, facilitator and confidant. He offers an empathetic listening ear and open mind, helps you to discover the underlying psychological roots of the issues that you are facing, facilitates your healing of negative emotions associated with past events, guides you on moving on, and empowers you for the road ahead as much as you are committed to doing so.
In short, through coaching or therapy with a Life Coach you could seek clarity within your heart, uncover and deal with your true emotions, and find strength from your conscious and unconscious mind to resolve issues and move towards more joy and peace in life.
